Koenigsegg Agera RS: Its first street legal car sold in the US

Koenigsegg has sold its first street US legal car, an Agera RS, to one lucky and well heeled buyer.

Launched in 2015 at the Geneva Motor Show, there will be just 25 units of the Agera RS built over its lifetime. The car sold to a US buyer will be vehicle number 7 in that run.

According to AutoGuide, the US bound Agera RS will wear chassis number 128, highlight just how rare and restricted Koenigsegg cars are. The company was founded in 1994, and didn’t produce its first street legal car, the CCX, until 2002.

Output is currently pegged at around 24 to 26 cars per year.

The Agera RS has a 5-liter twin-turbo V8 with 1,160hp (865kW) at 7,800rpm, and 738 lb-ft (1000Nm) between 2,700 and 6,170rpm.
