Honda Civic Coupe axed: 2020 is its final year, sedan and hatch survive

The mainstream coupe is dead. The Honda Civic Coupe, the last survivor, will be discontinued after the 2020 model year.

The coupe will not return for the 11th generation Civic, which will debut spring 2021 as a 2022 model year. The new Civic will be available as a 4-door sedan or hatch.

The current sedan and hatch will continue (almost unchanged) into the 2021 model year.

When the 10th generation was launched, the coupe accounted for 16% of sales, now it’s just down to 6%. The hatch has grown in popularity, and now accounts for 24% of sales and will be the new sports leader in the range.
