Genesis to be electric and hydrogen fuel cell only by 2030

Genesis is only a baby in the automotive world, but it is joining a growing trend (especially in the luxury segment) of going all EV.

All new models from 2025 onwards will be EV or hydrogen fuel cell only, and the entire range will be EV/FCEV by 2030.

In 2030 the company plans to have a range of 8 vehicles, and to have global sales of 400,000 per year.

Genesis released its first all electric car based on a dedicated EV platform, the GV60, last month. The ugly new hatch/SUV is based on the same E-GMP platform as the Kia EV6 and Hyundai Ioniq 5.

The brand is also aiming to fully carbon neutral by 2035.
