Cupra Tavascan: Electric concept could preview new standalone SUV

The Cupra Tavascan concept is an electric SUV based on the Volkswagen Group’s new MEB platform, which is also the basis of the new ID.3 hatch.


The concept has two electric motors (one for each axle) with a total of 225kW (302hp), and a 0-100km/h time of 6.5s. The Tavascan has a 77kWh lithium ion battery, and a WLTP range of 450km (280mi).

For the interior there’s a 12.3″ digital instrument cluster, a 13″ infotainment screen, diffused ambient lighting, leather, carbonfiber, and Alcantara trim.

The car rides on 22″ turbine alloy wheels.
