Elon Musk is many things (a genius, batshit crazy, stupidly rich), but he is not lacking in cajones. Behold the bullet proof electric Tesla Cybertruck.
The angular body is made from ultra-hard cold rolled stainless steel which can withstand sledgehammer attacks. There’s up to 100 cu-ft (2,832L) of storage in the cargo bed (vault), frunk and sail pillars.
Under the angular glass canopy, the Cybertruck can seat up to 6 people and has a 17″ touchscreen. The cargo area (or vault) can carry up to 3,500 lb (1,588kg) and is 6.5′ (1,981mm) long.
Deliveries are due to begin late 2021 … so it’ll start shipping in limited quantities in 2022.
The Cybertruck will be available with at three powertrains:
- Single motor RWD: US$39,900, 0-60mph under 6.5s, 250mi (402km) range, 7,5000 lb (3,402kg) towing
- Dual motor AWD: US$49,900, 0-60mph under 4.5s, 300mi (483km) range, 10,000 lb (4,536kg) towing
- Triple motor AWD: US$69,900, 0-60mph under 2.9s, 500mi (805km) range, 14,000 lb (6,350kg) towing
