2022 BMW iX: Electric SUV is a buttload of ugly, but has great interior

BMW went electric early and then fell asleep at the wheel, but now its back with an all new electric SUV that’s green and ghastly.

The iX has a unique aluminum and carbonfiber spaceframe, and a dual motor powertrain with over 373kW (500hp), and an EPA range of over 483km (300mi).

It also has a stupid tall non functional grille, and styling that’s both boring and ugly.

The cabin, though, is the opposite. Minimalist, but attractive with good use materials on the seats, doors and dashboard. There’s also a floating curved panel with two large screens.

The iX goes on sale in Europe from late 2021.
