The 2022 Acura MDX has an all new Acura only platform with a longer front axle to dash ratio for a sportier look and longer hood.
It’s also the first mainstream Acura to have front double wishbone suspension (remember when that was a thing that sold Hondas?).
The new MDX goes on sale Feb 2, 2021 with an entry MSRP of US$46,900. At launch the only engine is a 3.5L V6 with 216kW (290hp) and 362Nm (267 lb-ft), 10-speed auto, and FWD or AWD.
A Type S model powered by a 3.0L turbo V6 with 265kW (355hp) and 480Nm (354 lb-ft), and standard AWD is coming in the summer of 2021.
