2021 Lancia Ypsilon facelift: Iconic brand refuses to die

The Lancia Ypsilon the upscale, 4 door version of the Fiat 500, is the last model in the brand’s range, and it has been updated. Again.

The third generation Ypsilon was released in 2011, and facelifted in 2015. It now gains a new grille with vertical chrome slats.

The exterior is classier with most of the other chrome bits deleted. There’s also new bumpers, LED driving lights, and an interior upgrade with a 7-in infotainment system that supports Android Auto and Apple CarPlay.

The EcoChic Hybrid models are equipped with 1L I3 mild hybrid (cheeky) with 51kW (68hp), a 6-speed manual, a 12V integrated belt starter motor that can help out with 3.6kW (5hp), and a 0.13kWh lithium ion battery.

There’s also a 52kW (70hp) 0.9L Twin Air turbo engine that can run on methanol, and a 51kW (69hp) 1.2L capable of using liquefied petroleum gas (LPG).
