2021 Chrysler Pacifica AWD under development, may lose Stow’n’Go seats

Dino Chiodo, an director of Canada’s Unifor union, has revealed Chrysler is investigating the merits adding AWD to the Chrysler Pacifica minivan.

Other sources have told Automotive News the Chrysler Pacifica AWD is being worked on. The AWD model could enter production as early as the second quarter of 2020.

Chrysler last sold a minivan with AWD in 2004. It dropped the feature when it introduced its Stow’n’Go seats. It’s not clear whether an AWD Pacifica would need to sacrifice this handy feature for AWD.

The only North American minivan to offer AWD is the Toyota Sienna.
