2020 BMW X1 vs 2015-2019: Facelift changes & differences

The biggest visual change is up front, where the 2020 X1 has a bigger, chromier grille with the two kidneys now joined up. Clearly inspired, but less imposing, than the units on the X5 and X7.

The front bumper is all new too, with larger looking intakes, and more chrome on the lower section.

BMW has also removed the round, relatively high fog lights for slimmer, almost invisible, rectangular units. The headlight graphics are also different, and LED headlamps are standard (active LED units are optional).

There are no sheetmetal changes to the X1, but there are new alloy wheel designs.

The exhaust tip diameter has grown from 70mm (2.8-in) to 90mm (3.5-in), and the diffuser component has been redesigned with new colours.
