2019 Genesis G70 2L turbo I4, 3.3L twin-turbo V6 detailed

The Genesis G70 goes on sale in the USA during the summer of 2018. Based on the Kia Stinger, it has RWD/AWD and will take on the BMW 3-Series, etc.


The G70 will be available with two engines: a 2-liter turbocharged I4, and a 3.3-liter twin-turbo V6. Both engines, and the G70’s platform, are shared with the Kia Stinger.

Available features include rack mounted motor driven power steering, launch control, torque vectoring, and Active Sound Design. There’s also optional 19-inch wheels and Michelin Pilot Sport 4 tires.

The car’s coefficient of drag (Cd) is 0.28.

3.3-liter TT-GDI V6

  • 365hp (272kW) and 376 lb-ft (510Nm).
  • LSD standard.
  • RWD standard, AWD optional.
  • 8-speed rev matching automatic only.
  • 0-60mph in 4.5s (RWD with launch control).

2-liter turbo I4

  • 252hp (188kW) and 260 lb-ft (353Nm) with automatic.
  • 255hp (190kW) and 260 lb-ft (353Nm) with manual.
  • LSD optional on RWD model.
  • RWD standard, AWD optional.
  • 8-speed rev matching automatic standard.
  • 6-speed manual option, includes sports exhaust, Brembo brakes, weight saving.
