2017 Ford F-150: Turbo engines gain automatic engine start/stop

The Ford F-150 will burnish its fuel economy credentials even further with the addition of automatic engine start/stop to its 3.5-liter turbo V6 models.

At present, 2016 Ford F-150 with the 2.7-liter turbo (sorry, EcoBoost) V6 have automatic engine start/stop as standard.

For the 2017 model year onwards, F-150 models equipped with the 3.5-liter EcoBoost V6, including the F-150 Raptor, will also feature automatic engine stop/start as standard.

Ford says that with this change, around 60 percent of Ford F-150s sold will feature automatic engine start/stop technology.
