2017 Ford F-150 Raptor Supercrew heading to China

The most American of vehicles, the Ford F-150 Raptor is heading to China next year, because surely in a country of over a billion people, a few will want a performance pickup.

The Ford F-150 Raptor will be powered by 3.5-liter turbocharged V6. Power outputs have yet to be confirmed, but Ford says that it will have more than the previous generation’s 6.2-litre V8, which made 411hp (306kW) and 434 lb-ft (588Nm).

Power is sent to all four wheels via a 10-speed automatic transmission and an optional Torsen front differential.

A multi-mode Terrain Management system allows drivers to select from normal, street, weather (snow or ice), mud/sand, Baja (high speed desert) and rock crawling modes.
