2017 Chevrolet Bolt is North American Car of the Year ahead of G90, S90

The 2017 Chevrolet Bolt EV has won the 2017 North American Car of the Year award, well ahead of the Genesis G90 and Volvo S90 luxury sedans.

The electric Bolt scored 364 points from a jury of auto journalists from the USA and Canada. That’s well ahead of the Genesis G90 sedan, which managed just 105 points.

Hyundai’s new full-size luxury sedan just edged out the Volvo S90 sedan, which had a total of 101 points.

The Chevrolet Bolt has an EPA driing of range of 238mi (383km) from its 60kWh LG Chem lithium-ion battery pack. First deliveries of the Bolt began in December, with lucky customers in California the first to receive their new electric hatchback.
