2016 Toyota Probox, Succeed update: Now with camera, radar safety kit

The Toyota Probox and Succeed twins have been given a small update, with the Safety Sense package including radar and camera now standard in Japan.

The Safety Sense suite includes lane departure alert, automatic collision mitigation, and automatic headlights. The Toyota Probox van and Succeed passenger van also gain automatic engine stop/start to improve mileage.

Both the Probox and Succeed are both old cars, debuting back in 2002, although they both received a facelift a few years back with new headlights, grille, and front bumper. Both cars are based on an Toyota Corolla chassis.

The Probox is available with both 1.3 and 1.5-liter I4 engines in FWD and AWD configurations with standard CVT. Prices go from ¥1,380,240 (US$13,600) to ¥1,860,840 (US$18,300).

The Succeed is only available with a 1.5-liter I4 gas engine and CVT, with either FWD or AWD. Prices go from ¥1,556,280 (US$15,300) to ¥1,860,840 (US$18,300).
