L538 Range Rover Evoque hits half-million mark

On February 24, 2016, Jaguar Land Rover celebrated the production of its 500,000th Range Rover Evoque at its Halewood plant in the UK.

According to Jaguar Land Rover the Evoque is the fastest selling and most successful (numerically) vehicle that Land Rover has ever made, and it’s the quickest car the brand has seen hit the half million mark.

The company says that one in every Land Rovers sold in the world right now is an Evoque, and the company has to keep its Halewood factory in operation 24 hours a day to keep up with demand. The factory currently produces one new car every 80 seconds.

To put things in perspective, Land Rover produced its sixth millionth car (a Range Rover Vogue SE LWB with special puddle lamps) in April 2015.
