Ssangyong could enter US market as early as 2016

Ssangyong could enter the US vehicle market for the first time, with vehicles possibly available as early as 2016.

Plans, though, are yet to be set in stone. And it should be noted that parent company, Mahindra, failed to get its Appalachian pickup on sale in the US market.

CEO Lee Yoo-il spoke to Reuters and said that the Indian-owned South Korean car maker was planning on launch one new product a year from 2015 onwards.

The first vehicle in the company’s ambitious plan is the new X100, which will do battle with the Nissan Juke and Chevrolet Trax, amongst others. The X100 will be previewed at the Paris Motor Show by a the XIV-Adventure and XIV-Air concepts.
