Scion iM concept is an a pumped up Toyota Auris/Corolla hatchback

Scion has revealed its iM concept car ahead of its full reveal at this year’s Los Angeles Auto Show.

As predicted earlier, the Scion iM concept is based on the Toyota Auris sold in Japan and Europe (and known as the Toyota Corolla hatch in Australia).

Compared to the Golf-chasing Auris sold in those markets, the Scion iM concept features pumped up front and rear guards, modified rear door panels, deeper side sills, and aggressively styled front and rear bumpers.

The iM also sits lower to the ground and rides on forged 19-inch alloy wheels with sports tyres. There vented front rotors and 4-piston calipers to bring the car to a standstill.

For the concept, the Scion iM is clad in “Incrediblue” paint, which looks similar to that used by Lexus for its high performance F models, as well as Subaru’s rally racing blue.
