Genesis G90/EQ900 unveiled: V6, V6 turbo, V8, AWD options

The Genesis G90 (EQ900 in South Korea) is the first new model to be released under Hyundai’s Genesis luxury marque, and replaces the Hyundai Equus.


There will be three engine options available on the G90/EQ900: a normally aspirated 311hp (232kW) 3.8-liter V6, a sportier 365hp (272kW) 3.3-liter V6, and a 419hp (313kW) 5-liter V8. The 3.3-liter V6 turbo makes its debut in the G90/EQ900.

All engines comes with an 8-speed auto. Rear-wheel drive is standard, and all-wheel drive is optional.

In South Korea, the EQ900 will be available with smart posturing care, which automatically adjusts the seats, steering wheel, mirrors and head up display into the optimal position for every driver, and highway driving assistance.

As the G90, the sedan will be sold in the Middle East, US, China and Russia.
