Gen-F2 HSV Commodore adds 400kW/536hp supercharged V8

In line with the revised VFII Holden Commodore range, HSV’s model lineup has been upgraded to Gen-F2 spec with styling changes and the supercharged 6.2-litre V8 LSA engine available on more models.


The 6.2-litre supercharged LSA V8 engine with 400kW (536hp) and 671Nm (450 lb-ft) is now available on the Clubsport R8 LSA sedan, Clubsport R8 Tourer LSA wagon, Maloo R8 LSA ute, and Senator Signature LSA.

These models are available from October 2015, with the Maloo R8 LSA manual at A$76,990; the auto ute at A$79,490; Clubsport R8 LSA manual at A$80,990; the auto at $83,490; and the auto-only Clubsport R8 Tourer LSA wagon at A$85,990.

The GTS retains its more powerful version of the LSA engine, which boasts 430kW (577hp) and 740Nm (546 lb-ft). It starts at A$95,990 for the manual and A$98,490 for the auto.

The less powerful naturally aspirated LS3 6.2-litre V8, with 340kW (456hp) and 570Nm (420 lb-ft), is available in the long-wheelbase Caprice-based Grange model. It will also be available in the cut price Maloo R8 and Clubsport R8 models from Q1 2016.
