FB Honda Civic hatch, wagon facelifted; new Sport model

Honda Europe has unveiled a facelifted version of its ninth generation hatchback and wagon, and has added a dressed-up Sport model to the range.

The revised Euro Civic hatch and wagon range (below) features updated styling at the front with LED driving lights and a new bumper. The hatch also gains a revised rear bumper, side skirts, black rear spoiler and new look LED tail-lights.

Inside there’s new fabrics, door trims, chromed door handles and black centre panel. There’s also a new Android 4.0.4-based Honda Connect audio system with AM/FM/digital radio, Bluetooth, internet connectivity, reversing camera and optional sat nav. New tech features include automated city emergency braking.

There’s also a new Civic Sport model (above) that pilfers a few of styling tweaks from the upcoming Civic Type-R. It comes standard with 17-inch alloys, lower grille mesh, black ceiling lining, and a colour-coded rear spoiler.

The Sport can be had with either a 88kW (120PS) 1.6-litre turbo-diesel or 104kW (142PS) 1.8-litre petrol, so it’s actual level of sportiness is highly dubious.
