Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat: Hits 202mph, 325km/h top speed on video

The Dodge Charger SRT Hellcat sedan is claimed to be the quickest, fastest and powerful sedan in the world. Now Dodge has the video to prove it.

And in the video above, which uses a production-spec final evaluation model, the company claims that it has hit the mark.

The get a top speed rating corrected for wind, Dodge ran the Charger SRT Hellcat along a 7.5mi (12km) and averaged its maximum speed along both straights.

Powered by a 6.2-litre supercharged V8 ejecting 707hp (527kW) of power and 650 lb-ft (881Nm) of torque to the rear wheels via an 8-speed auto, the Charger SRT Hellcat was able to achieve a top speed of 206.9mph (333km/h) with the wind and 202.2mph (325km/h) against it.

This averages out to 204.55mph (329.2km/h).
