Cadillac Super Cruise hands free driving spreads beyond CT6 from 2020

The hands free Super Cruise level 2/3 autonomous driving system will be available on other Cadillac models from 2020. Currently it is only available on the CT6.

The Super Cruise system uses LIDAR for hands free driving, and is restricted by geofencing to 130,000 miles of freeways in the US and Canada. It requires drivers to keep paying attention, and not use smartphones or watch entertainment

After it is introduced in other Cadillac models in 2020, it will become available in other GM brands.

The company will also roll out vehicle to vehicle (V2V), and V2X technology in the near future.
