2019, 2020 Ford GT confirmed for production

Wihh the third-gen GT already sold out for the 2017 and 2018 model years, the Ford GT supercar has been confirmed for another two years of production.

At the 2016 Pebble Beach Concours D’Elegance, Dave Pericak, director of Ford Performance, said, “While we can’t build enough Ford GTs for everyone who has applied, we are going to produce additional vehicles in an effort to satisfy more of our most loyal Ford ambassadors. We want to keep Ford GT exclusive, but at the same time we know how vital this customer is to our brand.”

2019 model year Ford GTs will be sold to those who were put on the wait list for the initial application round. Deferred applicants and new applicants will be catered for by 2020 model year cars.

The application process for the 2020 Ford GT will open in “early 2018”.
