2017 Skoda Kodiaq Scout: A little bit of extra off-road ability for Czech SUV

If you want to take your new Skoda Kodiaq crossover off road, the new Scout model is the one to have, as it has a few little extras to help out.


The Kodiaq Scout has a little extra ride height, with ground clearance raised from 188mm (7.4 inches) to 194mm (7.6 inches). The Scout’s has 19.7 degree ramp angle, 22 degree approach angle, and 23.1 departure angle.

AWD is standard. Also standard is the off road assistance, and the Rough Road package which has underbody, engine, brake, fuel line and cable protection. DCC shocks are optional.

The Kodiaq Scout also has standard 19-inch wheels, and new front and rear bumpers with silver accents.

There are two turbocharged gas engines (a 110kW/148hp 1.4-liter, and a 132kW/177hp 2-liter), and two turbo-diesel engines (a 110kW/148hp and 140kW/188hp 2-liter).
